The Benefits of Taekwondo for People over 40

Taekwondo has been a lifesaver for me. For older adults like myself, regular exercise is crucial to prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, aid weight loss, strengthen bones and joints, and combat muscle loss (atrophy) associated with aging.


Routine exercises like jogging can quickly become monotonous and boring. If exercising isn't enjoyable, burnout will soon follow.


If you feel burnt out from exercising and feel like it's a chore rather than a passion, then Taekwondo might be for you.


Learn to increase strength, improve flexibility to reduce the chance of injury, burn more calories to help with weight loss, improve posture, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve mental clarity. Increase body control and develop confidence.


Taekwondo is the complete package: set goals and work towards a black belt while staying in shape. Go at your own pace, no matter what your skill level is.
