UFC 117 Odds Bouts Not As Thrilling As Previous UFC Main Events

The hot summer days tend to be a sluggish time period for the sports betting community and that’s certainly true of the approaching UFC 117 probabilities action.

To date the calendar year 2010 has been a great year for UFC Main Events and the approaching UFC 117 gambling event on August 7th could be more of the same.

In fact, with leading matches like the Rampage Jackson against Evans, Lesnar vs Carwin and Rua against Shogun headlining UFC gambling tournaments, this year has been the most interesting UFC gambling year in recent memory.

But to date in 2010, the UFC 117 betting event hardly compares to the fantastic bouts. Without question this is the worst lineup of matches that we’ve seen in the UFC betting competition in a lot of months but there should still be lots of fantastic opportunities in online betting to play the UFC 117 odds competition.

The UFC 117 wagering bonanza will take place on August seventh at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA. It will certainly be full, as is every UFC betting Main Event and the devotees will be cheering wildly, but there will be a hollow ring to their cries as the UFC odd action will be the least appealing set of wagering lines all year.

Thus far, 2010 has been the year of the amazing UFC Main Event wagering contest. There has been a relatively endless supply of great MMA wagering competitions with topnotch competitors. This impending UFC Main Event can’t claim the same thing. It is a noticeable drop in quality from the previous UFC odds events that have taken place in 2010 even though, of course, the lineup that will be highlighted in the UFC 117 betting action will be better than no UFC wagering competition in any way.

And in all honesty there ought to be a large level of fan curiosity in the upcoming competition, yet not necessarily in the UFC 117 odds. MMA betting fanatics are more likely excited about the Main Event only to see how middleweight champ Anderson Silva will fight following his weird performance in March instead of the betting lines. Silva’s last match was a unusual exhibition of mostly not fighting and if he comes out in the Octagon doing the same thing vs his UFC 117 probabilities challenger, Chael Sonnen, Dan White has already said that his UFC gambling career is over.

Who knows, maybe that ultimatum will only provoke Silva to wilder heights and see him leave the UFC wagering action once and for all. But there is little else in this UFC 117 gambling event to hold the interest of the casual UFC betting enthusiast apart from this element of drama.

For most MMA betting devotees, there are no huge names, no huge feuds and little reason to tune into the UFC 117 wagering event. Still, if this is the worst of the lineups we’re going to see this year in UFC wagering Main Events then this has been a okay year, in fact.
